Pombeiro River
Description
On the Pombeiro River, a tributary of the Paiva River, one of the most technical and complete routes in the country, is one of the routes chosen by us for the aquatic walk. This walk takes place in translucent and crystalline waters, presents a diversity of transpositions that are overcome through jumps into the water, and one or two small rappels can be carried out.
It is located in the middle of the Magic Mountains, with an overwhelming granite landscape and rusticity, located between the villages of Lamelas, the Rocha Mills Bridge and the Ermida Bridge, next to the Templo das Siglas, on the southern slope of the Serra de Montemuro, 10 minutes from Castro Daire and in the heart of the spectacular “Pombeira Adventure Park”.
This route, which is about 2,300 meters long, is accessible, with a low level of difficulty. It is a river for which we recommend previous experience in rappelling, however, if necessary, we will provide this training before the activity begins.
