Canyoning Gerês
Description
We propose a program for two days of Canyoning taking place in the heart of Peneda Gerês National Park. Here, the natural landscape is fantastic, from which we highlight the transparency of the crystalline waters with a greenish hue, which gives the lagoons a beauty that is difficult to describe and the variety of transpositions of the successive “obstacles”.
We propose:
1st day – Rio Carcerelha
2nd day – Arada River
Rio Carcerelha
It has an extension of about 1.3 km
It is characterized by jumping into the water, abseiling in the waterfalls, slides that can be guided or not and toboggans.
Although we can classify this section as an Easy Level, whether you are a beginner or an expert, the activity is very pleasant and fun is for sure.
Arado River
It has 2 different sections. The first is relatively short, with a total length of 1.5 km with and with a sharp difference in level, won through 6 successive rappels of 11, 10, 6, 10, 48 and 22 meters respectively. The second is longer with about 1.1 km covered using 4 rappels that vary between 10 and 18 meters in height, an aquatic progression with a walk along the river bed, and small jumps into the water.
Although we can classify this section as being of Medium Level | Difficult, whether beginner or expert, the activity is safeguarded by the fact that on the first day you acquire the techniques and experience that allow you to successfully complete this route.
